| Designed by Frank Pennink opened in dec 1995, Palmares golf is a 18 hole golf course located on the side of a south-facing hill overlooking the Bay of Lagos and considered to be the most attractive location of all the golf courses in the Algarve.
The layout at Palmares includes 13 holes which wind through the groves of almond and fig trees and five links holes between the railway and the beach, evoking memories of famous British Open Courses. |

Palmares is one of the gems of European golf. It is not a lavish club, but one glorious in its unpretentiousness. There are many who would happily sit on the Club House veranda and simply admire the fantastic view across the bay, without venturing onto the golf course at all.
Palmares is good for properties in the Portimao, Carvoeiro, Ferragudo, Albufeira and Alvor areas.
