Son Vida Golf

Son Vida is the oldest golf course in Mallorca. Designed by Fred Hawtree, it was opened by Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1964 and is now the most prestigious golf course in Mallorca as it is set amongst some of the most luxurious properties on the island. The main Features golf include perfect greens tree lined fairways, four lakes and stunning scenery. The main hazards are the bunkers (on either side of the green), a few rare water hazards (on the 16th and 18th holes) and the pine, palm and almond trees.

There are 18 holes par 72 5829m. The holes include dense forest and almost no water and is also very hilly. The spectacular cathedral looks over the 6th green, and all of the holes have great views of the mountains and Palma Bay.

Son Vida Golf Course still has a very natural appearance to it, upkeep is good and the balanced layout makes this a course we would recommend to players of all abilities.

The course was closed in 2001 to carry out watering and drinking work and also to reshape the greens and fairways of the last five holes under the supervision of course architect Kurt Rossknecht. He lengthened the course by more than 80 Metres
